Balraam ka krodh...

This poem is inspired by an episode of mahabharat that i saw on youtube last weekend, and a poem 'krishna ki chetawani' by Ramdhari singh dinkar. It portraits the scene of duryodhan's defeat by Bheema when he was hit below waist. Balraam ran to kill Bheema on seeing this, but Krishma came in the middle and tried to cool him down :). Anyway, please leave some feedback. Thank you.

घन-घन अम्बर का गान हुआ

तम का बढ़ता संधान हुआ

हलधर के हल की चाप देख

वसु का जीवन निष्प्राण हुआ

जल-अनल एक सब जान पड़े

पांचो के कम्पित प्राण पड़े

सरवर का जल, जल जाता था

धरिनीधर की हुंकार तले

वायु की डगमग चाल हुई

वसु भय की ग्रास अकाल हुई

जन-जीवन भय से काँप उठा

जीवन प्रवाह थम शांत हुआ

पवनों की दिश डग-डोल उठी

भूपति की जिह्वा बोल उठी

हे शक्ति पुंज, हे तात मेरे

हम वचनों भर के दास तेरे

तेरे हल ने मृत्यु बांटा

जो बचा रहा, उसका घाटा

जो तेरी बलि चढ़ जाना हो

जीवन सहस्त्र बिखराना हो

कुछ मेरी भी तो आस सुनो

तुम रुको तात ये बात सुनो

जो पड़ा हुआ, ले अंग भंग

बैरी जग का ये दुर्योधन

ये दुष्कर्मों का साथी है

ये बड़ा अभागा पापी है

इसके अभीष्ट को साध रहे

तुम मर्यादा को मार रहे

अन्धक का ये उजियारा था

इसने हर धर्म को मारा था

सत्रह दिन का ये सर्वनाश

शकुनी की तृष्णा की ये प्यास

धरती पे आज अकाल हुआ

वीरो से मुक्त ये काल हुआ

क्यों बीच युद्ध मे आते हो

अपनी हुंकार दिखाते हो

तुम कहाँ गए जब ध्युत हुआ

थे कहाँ हुआ जब लाक्षाग्रह

ये न्याय नहीं, ये धर्म नहीं

रणभूमि है महाभारत की

ये नयी कोई परिभाषा है

अब यहीं धर्म की आसा है

ये शिष्य तेरा होगा दाऊ

क्यों इसपे ममता दिखलाऊं

इस अन्धक को मिट जाने दो

कर्मों का फल इसको पाने दो

I wrote this poem for one of our NITT ECE faculties Mr. E. S. Gopi
The guy is one of those very few who radiate irritation. You will feel like hitting him while he is teaching. Once he gave us 5 questions in a cycle test and out of them one question (5marks in 20 marks test paper) was wrong so we were suppose to find the wrong question and not to waste too much time on it (This was a part of one hour CT). We were suppose to solve it up to maximum solvable limit. :)

I really need strong motivation to write a poem and Gopi gave me enough reasons after taking four courses in four semesters for me... :P

Kad nahi vishal hai, gol muh bhi laal hai
Rang andhkaar sa, sokhta ujaal sa

hum nahi pada rahe, ghar se lad ke aa rahe
Nashta kiya nahi, isliye khisiya rahe

Class me pada rahe, phone mere aa rahe
Biwi ko to chhodiye, bachche bhi chilla rahe

Board bharte ja rahe, kuchchh ka kuchchh bata rahe
Khud samajh sake nahi, phir bhi hum padha rahe

Prashn-patra jaal hai, kaiyon ka ye kaal hai
Paanch me se ek prashna phasaane ki chaal hai

Chhoti si tamiz hai, lambi si kamiz hai
puri class me GIDDA hi, bas mujhe azeez hai

Din hua naya ujiyara tha
Ja chhupa kahin andhiyara tha

Is nayi subah ko jhuthlane
Saki ke ank ko sehlane

Is andhak me mit jaane ko
Dhuen me shaan udaane ko

Jivan ki pyaas bujhaane ko
Haale me chale nahane ko

Kyon aaj sharabi chal nikla
Phir din ko raat banane ko

These lines i have written on what i am feeling nowadays. We leave so many precious things behind in this race of life and a few of those changes are good but rest of them make us feel really bad. There are a few things that we want to have in future and some of us fight hard for it.

Door wahan tak jana hoga
Jahan nishan koi aaj ka naho
phir us kal ko pana hoga

Din gaya dhal, ravi daman kar, hai mayank phir chhaa gaya

swapn ko aagosh me bharta andhera aa gaya

Mrit nagar, galiyaan virani, supt nar, nishichar jage

ansulajh - suljhe nisha ke kesh se taare bhage

Pa ke sath swanath ka sab chandramukhi ullaas me

Hai thage se jad hue dinkar ke kar avsaad me

Is dhara pe phir swatah, shabnum ka nritya aur gaan hai

raatri ke darbaar me phir chhidi mridang ki taan hai

Hazaron khwahishen aisi, ki har khwahish pe dum nikle
Bahut nikle mere armaan, magar phir bhi kam nikle

When i was younger, i used to think that i would take arts and learn music. I always loved it. I wrote a poem in class 6th first time and for that everyone blasted me at home. They wanted me to indulge in more constructive things than writing poems and sher. It stopped then :( Now again i am back :) with all my hobbies, right from writing poems to drawing !!

Wo Kal Jab Aayega

Din ek aayega jab man ke khwab hamare ho jayenge,
Raha chhupa aankhon me jo kal aaj hamara ho jayega !
Wo pal jiski aas hame hai, har pal hum jite jayenge,
Wo sapne jo din ne chhine, raat hamare ho jayenge !!

Parvat (mountain) jo nabh gaan kar raha, kadmon me mere aayega !
Dur kshitiz atthaas kar raha, kal wo mera daas banega !!

Kali thandi raat virah ki, madhur milan ke geet banegi,
Patjhad me sukhi har patti, rituraaj ki daas banegi !
Shambhu ki agni me jalta, har anang phir shwaas bharega,
Phir se wo Yum dhara utar kar savitri ka daas banega !!

Cheer ke chhati maru-bhumi, mrig ki trishna shaant karegi !
Phaila apna aanchal wasu phir sita ka aahwan karegi !!

English Version

A day will come when all my dreams will be fulfilled.
The yesterday which was hidden in my eyes will meet me tomorrow.
The moment for which i am waiting, I will live that in my every second moment.
Dreams which are taken away by the day light will become mine again when the night arrives.

The mountain which is kissing the sky will be lying below my feet.
The horizon which is laughing ahead of me, will become my servant.

The gloomy, cold night of separation will sing the melodious songs of meeting.
Every leaf which died in autumn will serve the king of seasons (spring) again,
Every kaamdev (lord of love) which was burnt by the fire of Lord Shiva will breathe again,
The god of death will come down to earth again to fulfill the wish of Savitri.

The desert will tear its heart apart and will quench the thirst of deer,
The earth mother will call the goddess Sita to embrace her again.
